SchedGo is a student-run startup that aims to make scheduling for classes easier and faster for all college students.

problem statement

The student has to manually build a class schedule that fits into their academic goals which can take time and be confusing.

solution

A web application that generates all class combinations with no class conflicts and meets the students preferences such as:

1. Time

2. Instructor

3. Seat Availability

ux design and front-end development work

I designed and built the profile page, the pop-up that allows for searching and selecting classes, and the calendar interface that shows the chosen schedule.

impact

SchedGo is being used by more than 2,000 students across 4 California colleges. It also won the $20,000 top prize and the $10,000 People’s Choice Award in the 2023 Big Bang! Business Competition in 2023, which you can read more about here.

publicity lead role

As a publicity lead, I led the social media efforts while leading a group of 5. I used Google Analytics to track different campaigns, in-person and online, that drove to an increase of users.

reflection

I learned how to balance and apply many disciplines like design, development, and marketing.

I also learned the value of teamwork and how to work in a fast-pased environment through working in a small startup like SchedGo.
